Construction Debris Removal in Chamblee

Your remodel is done, or half done, and the pile in the driveway keeps growing. We load drywall, tile, old cabinets, framing lumber and flooring onto our truck and haul it away, then sweep the spot where it sat. You get a clear price before we lift anything.

What Construction Debris Removal Covers

Construction debris is the material a renovation leaves behind: gypsum drywall offcuts, plaster and lath, ceramic tile with thinset still stuck to the back, carpet and pad, vinyl plank, cabinet boxes, countertops, doors, trim and lumber with nails still in it. Most of it is too heavy, too sharp or too bulky for your curbside trash, and the county cart was never meant to take it.

We come to your home, carry the pile to our truck by hand and drive it away. A single-room remodel often fits in one load. This is the right call when a contractor's bid did not include haul-off, when you did the demolition yourself, or when a project ended and the leftovers are still sitting in the garage or yard.

Here is the straight answer on scope: we handle debris from interior remodels, deck tear-outs, flooring jobs and small exterior projects. If your pile includes anything hazardous, we will tell you on the call what we can and cannot take.

Materials We Load and Where They Go

Sheetrock and plaster offcuts

Broken sheetrock crumbles and throws off fine white powder every time it moves. Loose pieces go into heavy contractor bags and whole sheets get stacked flat, so the powder ends up in our truck bed instead of on your driveway.

Tile, stone and concrete chunks

Tile with mortar attached, broken pavers and small amounts of concrete are dense. We load them low and spread across the truck bed so the weight sits safely over the axles.

Lumber, trim and decking

Old framing, pressure-treated deck boards and baseboard often carry exposed nails and screws. We handle these with gloves and load them so nothing sharp is left in your yard.

Cabinets, vanities and fixtures

Torn-out kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, sinks and toilets go too. If you are also clearing out an old refrigerator or range, our appliance removal page covers that.

Flooring and carpet

Rolled carpet and pad, laminate, vinyl plank and hardwood strips are bulky but light. We compress and stack them to use truck space well, which keeps your cost down.

Cleanup of the pile site

When the truck is loaded, we rake or broom the ground underneath. Loose screws, nails and broken bits get collected so your driveway is safe to drive on again.

Signs It Is Time to Clear the Debris

  • The pile is killing your lawn

Drywall and lumber left on grass for a week or two block sunlight and trap moisture. The patch underneath yellows quickly in a Georgia summer.

  • Nails are turning up in the driveway

Demolition lumber sheds fasteners as it shifts. That means flat tires and a risk to kids and pets walking past.

  • Rain has soaked the drywall

Wet gypsum gets heavy, sags and can grow mold on the paper face. It is also harder and slower to load the longer it sits.

  • The next phase of the project is waiting

Your painter, flooring crew or cabinet installer needs the garage or room clear. Leftover debris stalls the schedule.

  • Your trash service will not take it

Regular pickup typically leaves construction material at the curb. If bags of tile and broken drywall keep coming back, it is time for a haul.

How a Debris Haul Works

  1. 1

Tell us about the pile by phone

Give us a rough size and a sense of what's mixed in. Heavy material like tile, concrete and shingles matters most. You get a quote during the call, or a free on-site estimate when the pile is big or varied.

  2. 2

    Pick a time

If the schedule has room, same-day and next-day visits are available. You don't need to bag or sort anything first.

  3. 3

The price is set before we load

On arrival we look over the pile with you and agree on the price in person. Pricing is upfront with no hidden fees, so the amount settled before loading is what your bill says.

  4. 4

    Loading, hauling and cleanup

We carry it all to the truck, load up and clean the spot where the pile was. The debris goes off for disposal, with clean metal and wood pulled out for recycling where possible.

What Moves the Price of Debris Removal

Most of the price comes down to how much of the truck your debris fills. Weight matters next, because dense material like tile and concrete fills a load's weight limit long before it fills the space. We explain both on the call so you know why the number is what it is.

Volume
A bathroom gut and a full kitchen tear-out fill very different amounts of truck. The more space your pile takes, the higher the cost.
Material density
Tile with mortar, concrete, plaster and roofing shingles are heavy for their size. A small pile of them can cost more than a large pile of carpet.
Carry distance and access
Debris stacked at the curb loads fastest. Material that has to come up basement stairs, down from a second-floor bathroom or through a narrow side gate adds labor time.
Mixed or restricted items
Paint cans, solvents and other restricted items have to be pulled out of the pile. Telling us about them up front avoids a delay on the day.

Construction Debris Questions

Something not covered here? (404) 383-9607

Will you take debris my contractor left behind?

Yes. Whether the work was done by a contractor or by you, we haul the leftover material. Who made the pile does not change the process, only its size and makeup do.

Do I have to sort or bag anything before you arrive?

No. Leave the pile the way it is and our crew handles the loading. Bagging loose drywall dust and small fragments can make the job go a little faster, but it is optional.

Can you take concrete and tile?

Yes, in reasonable amounts. Because they are so heavy, tell us roughly how much you have so the quote reflects the weight and we bring the right setup.

What can't you take?

Anything hazardous stays behind. That includes liquid paint, thinners, gasoline and similar flammables, and garden or pool chemicals. If you suspect older material contains asbestos, it needs proper testing and abatement before anyone removes it. Ask us on the call if you are unsure about an item.

Do you work outside Chamblee?

Yes. We also haul construction debris in Brookhaven, Dunwoody, Doraville, Tucker and the other towns on our Service Areas page.
