Garage Cleanouts in Chamblee

We clear out garages that have filled up over the years: boxes, broken tools, old furniture, shelving units and the freezer that quit. You point at what goes, we carry it out, load the truck and sweep the floor before we leave.

What a Garage Cleanout Actually Covers

A garage cleanout is a full or partial clearing of the space, not just a pickup of one or two items. We haul the loose clutter along with the bulky pieces that usually stop people from doing it themselves, like metal shelving, workbenches, old refrigerators and exercise equipment.

It is the right call when the car hasn't fit in years, when you are getting ready to sell your home, or when the contents have started to go bad. A garage is not climate controlled. Summer heat and humidity soften cardboard, swell particleboard and invite mildew and pests, so stored items tend to degrade faster than people expect.

You get a straight answer up front: what we can take, what it will cost and what we can't haul. If a single item is all you need gone, our junk removal or appliance removal service may be the better fit.

What We Haul and Handle

Boxes and loose clutter
Damp cardboard boxes, bins, holiday decorations, old toys and paper. We bag loose debris so nothing scatters on the driveway.
Shelving and workbenches
We unbolt steel shelving and take apart built workbenches that won't fit through the door in one piece. Wall-mounted units come down with their brackets.
Appliances and freezers
Old chest freezers, spare refrigerators, washers and dryers. Units with refrigerant are kept upright and handled so the sealed lines aren't punctured in transit.
Yard and power equipment
Broken mowers, edgers, grills and pressure washers. We ask you to drain fuel ahead of time when possible, because we can't haul open gasoline.
Furniture and exercise gear
Couches, mattresses, treadmills and weight benches that ended up in the garage after a room upgrade.
Broom-clean floor
After the last load goes out, we broom the concrete clean. That gives you a clear look at the floor, oil stains and cracks included, before you decide what comes next.

When a Garage Cleanout Makes Sense

  • No room left for the car

When a parking bay has become storage, your vehicle sits outside in sun, pollen and storms while the garage protects things you rarely touch.

  • Boxes are sagging or musty

Cardboard absorbs moisture from humid air and the concrete slab. Soft corners, a stale smell or gray spots mean mildew is already working on what's inside.

  • Droppings or chewed material

Rodents nest in stacked boxes, insulation scraps and bags of birdseed or pet food. Clearing the clutter removes the cover they rely on.

  • Shelving is bowing

Particleboard shelves swell and sag under weight once humidity gets into them. An overloaded shelf can fail without warning.

  • You are listing or moving

A packed garage makes the space look smaller to buyers and slows down movers. Clearing it first keeps the timeline on track.

What Moves the Price of a Garage Cleanout

Two things set most of the price: the truck space your items take up and the crew time needed to carry them out. With upfront pricing and no hidden fees, you hear the number before anything leaves the floor. These are the factors that raise or lower it.

Volume

Truck space is the biggest single factor. Clearing a few shelves in a one-car bay is a much smaller load than emptying a two-car garage stacked to the rafters.

Weight and dense material

Leftover tile, bags of concrete mix, paint cans and old batteries weigh far more than their size suggests and can carry disposal fees.

Disassembly

Bolted shelving, built-in workbenches and wall cabinets take time to break down safely, which adds labor.

Items with special handling

Tires, mattresses and refrigerant appliances often have separate disposal requirements. We tell you about these when we quote.

Access

A detached garage at the end of a long or steep driveway means longer carries than an attached garage beside the street.

How the Cleanout Goes on the Day

  1. 1

    A price on the call

Describe the contents while we're on the phone and you hear a number before you hang up. Large jobs, or ones that are hard to picture, can start with a visit instead. Free, no-obligation on-site estimates mean the figure matches what is really sitting in the bays.

  2. 2

    Walkthrough before lifting

When the crew arrives, you show us what stays and what goes. Anything you are unsure about gets set aside rather than tossed.

  3. 3

    Disassembly and loading

We take apart shelving and benches, carry everything out and load the truck in the driveway. Heavy items move on dollies to protect your slab and door frame.

  4. 4

    Sweep and final price

We sweep the floor and confirm the price against the space the load took in the truck. Usable goods are set aside for donation and metal is separated for recycling when possible.

Common Questions About Clearing a Garage

Should I sort the garage before the crew shows up?

You don't have to. Pull aside anything valuable or personal you plan to keep, and we work through the rest with you during the walkthrough. Any box you're unsure about goes to one side so you can check it before it's loaded.

Can you take paint, chemicals and motor oil?

Not everything. Liquid paint, solvents, pesticides, gasoline and motor oil are hazardous and we can't haul them in open containers. Dried-out latex paint cans are usually fine. We will tell you on the call which items fall into which group.

Will you take the old freezer or fridge in the garage?

Yes. Refrigerators and freezers contain refrigerant that has to be recovered by a recycler, so we transport them intact and upright. Empty out any food beforehand if you can.

What happens to the stuff you haul away?

Usable furniture, tools and household goods are set aside for donation when they are in good shape. Scrap metal from shelving and appliances goes to recycling, and the rest goes to a permitted transfer station or landfill.

Can you do just part of the garage?

Yes. Many people clear one side for a car or just the shelving wall. The price reflects only what we load.

How quickly can a crew get to my garage?

Same-day and next-day service available. Which one you get depends on how full the schedule is when you phone, and we settle on an arrival window before the call ends.
