Storage Unit Cleanouts in Chamblee
We empty your rented unit, load everything onto our truck and leave the floor swept so you can turn in the key. Give us the unit size and a sense of what is stored. You get a quote over the phone and a clear plan for the day.

When a cleanout makes more sense than another month of rent
Storage units tend to fill up during a move, a downsizing or settling an estate, and then they just sit. The rent comes due every month, and what's inside is often worth less than a year of payments. A cleanout stops that: we remove what you don't want, and you end the rental.
Here's how we work. The price is based on how much of our truck bed your belongings take up once loaded. Before we come, we tell you anything we can't haul, and if something in the unit looks worth selling rather than throwing out, we say so. Our customers use many different facilities around Chamblee, so we schedule around each one's gate hours and loading rules.
Clearing out a space at home, like a garage or basement, instead? Our garage cleanouts and basement cleanouts pages cover those.
What the cleanout covers
Full loading and hauling
Our crew carries out furniture, boxes, mattresses, shelving and loose items. Everything goes onto our truck in one trip when the volume allows.
Sorting for donation and recycling
Furniture and boxed goods still in good shape are set aside for charities that will take them. Steel shelving, bed rails and other scrap metal are dropped at a recycler rather than buried in a landfill.
Appliances and heavy pieces
Old refrigerators, washers, dressers and sleeper sofas are the items that make people give up on a DIY cleanout. We bring dollies and straps, and we carry them out without scraping the unit door track or the hallway walls.
Partial cleanouts
Keeping half and dumping half is common. Mark or point out what stays, and we load only the rest.
Broom-swept floor
Most facilities want the unit empty and swept before you end the lease. We clear out dust, packing peanuts and broken cardboard so the manager's walk-through goes quickly.
Signs it is time to clear the unit
Musty smell or mildew
Drive-up units without climate control trap humidity through a Georgia summer. Cardboard softens, upholstered furniture grows mildew and mattresses take on odor. Once that starts, most of it is not worth keeping.
The lock has not moved in months
When your last visit was so long ago that you could not list the contents, odds are the monthly rent is covering things you would never miss.
A rent increase or lien notice
Facilities raise rates over time and can auction the contents of overdue units. Clearing the unit first keeps you in control of what is kept, donated or hauled.
Collapsed stacks and pests
Crushed bottom boxes and signs of rodents or roaches mean the contents are breaking down. The longer it waits, the more ends up as trash rather than donation.
How a storage unit cleanout runs
- 1
The phone call
Let us know the unit size, such as 5x10 or 10x20, how full it is and what the large items are. Photos help if you have them. We give you a quote and book a time inside the facility's access hours.
- 2
Access arranged
Some facilities let you add us to the access list with a gate code. Others require the tenant on site. We confirm which applies, so nobody waits outside a locked gate.
- 3
Confirm and load
Before we lift anything, we confirm the price based on what we actually see. You approve it, then we load. A full 10x10 usually goes quickly, with the walk from the unit to the truck being the biggest variable.
- 4
Final sweep and handoff
With the last load on the truck, we broom the concrete clean and do a final check with you on site. If you are not there, we send a photo of the bare unit. Then you can pull your lock and close out with the office.
What sets the price
We price by volume, meaning how much of our truck your items fill. You get upfront pricing with no hidden fees, and the number is confirmed before loading starts. These are the factors that move it.
- Unit size and how full it is
- A half-empty 10x10 costs far less than a 10x30 packed to the ceiling. Volume is the main driver.
- Interior vs. drive-up units
- Units we can back the truck up to load fast. Interior climate-controlled units on upper floors need carts, elevators and longer walks, which adds labor time.
- Heavy or special-handling items
- Appliances, mattresses, pianos and tires can carry disposal fees or need extra hands. We tell you up front if anything in your unit falls into that group.
- Condition of the contents
- Clean furniture can often be donated. Mildewed or pest-damaged items must go to disposal, and wet, heavy material weighs more.
Before you book: common storage questions
Something not covered here? (404) 383-9607
Does the person renting the unit need to be there?
The facility decides that. Many managers let you put our crew on the access list, give us the gate code and hold the key at the front desk. Some require the tenant on the lease to be there, and we find out which rule applies when we book.
What can't go on your truck?
Hazardous items like gasoline, propane cylinders, pool chemicals and some paints can't be loaded, and most storage leases ban them anyway. Tell us roughly what's in the unit when you call, and we'll say what we can take and where the rest can go.
Can I keep some things and have you haul the rest?
Yes. Point out or tape off the items staying, and we take only the others. You pay for what we haul, not for how big the unit is.
Will I know the price ahead of time?
Yes. We quote over the phone from the unit size and what you describe, and free, no-obligation on-site estimates are available if you want us to see it first. On cleanout day we confirm the price before loading, and it's your call whether to go ahead.
Could the facility bill me for leftover trash or dumpster use?
Most facilities add a cleaning fee when tenants leave things behind or toss them in the property dumpster. We take everything off site, so the manager has nothing to charge you for.
